International Congress REENCON-XXI «Renewable Energy XXI century: energy and economic efficiency” will be held on 13-14 October 2016 in Moscow.

The Congress is an initiative of the Russian Academy of Sciences, National Research University “Higher School of Economics” and the International Sustainable Energy Development Centre under the auspices of UNESCO.

In 2016 the Foundationd “Skolkovo” and the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the City of Moscow have become co-organizers of the Congress.
The Congress is organized as a platform for the study and development of economic, technical, legal and organizational proposals to ensure the promotion of effective and innovative technologies of renewable energy use and storage in the energy sector of Russia based on the results of Russian and foreign research and development, the best examples of their practical application in the country and in the world.
The Congress is organized under the active support of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
The program of the Congress:
– new threats and challenges in the global and Russian energy sector, global trends in the development of renewable energy and their special aspects for Russia;
– the role of renewable energy in solving the climate problem;
– urban development with a focus on the zero-carbon development;
– scientific and technological breakthroughs in renewable energy technologies and energy storage;
– Russian science opportunities in the transition to the new technological order, where clean energy is a key element;
– experiences and challenges for renewable energy equipment production;
– issues of the market entrance and of the operation on the RES market;
– the first results of support measures application for localization of equipment production and construction of renewable energy facilities in Russia
Alongside with the Congress will be held the Tenth School of young scientists on renewable energy (Moscow State University).
