DAVOSAt the Davos World Economic Forum, International Sustainable Energy Development Centre under the auspices of UNESCO (ISEDC) gives a presentation its energy activities within the framework of the Russian pavilion «Expo-2020» Yekaterinburg.

On January 25 in Davos during the World Economic Forum opened the pavilion "Expo-2020 Yekaterinburg", where publicly will be submitted a project of a Universal Exhibition, for conduction of which intends to fight the capital of the Ural federal district.

In the framework of the work of the Russian pavilion of the ISEDC will hold a presentation of the work, where guests of the forum will be able to get acquainted with the activities of the Centre, ongoing projects in the field of energy and prospects of further activities.
Presentation of the Center, one of the directions of the activity of which is exhibition activity, is not accidental in the pavilion of the bid committee EXPO-2020. Energy occupies the central place in the framework of the efforts to achieve the goals of sustainable development. In recognition of the importance of the issue, the UN General Assembly decided to declare 2010 the International year of sustainable energy for all.
- The current levels of energy production and consumption are unsustainable, especially in the conditions of continuing growth of consumption, and noted the importance of the use of energy sources, which do not hinder the achievement of the objectives related to the protection of the health of the population, the atmosphere and the environment. Drawing attention to the importance of the role of sustainable energy development, solution of global problems of mankind always have to be reflected in events such as EXPO, and, of course, show the position of Russia, " - commented the executive director of ISEDC Yuri Posysaev.   
Recall that in December 1, 2011, was signed the agreement of cooperation between the innovation fund of "Skolkovo" and ISEDC. Joint activity aimed at a number of areas related to the issues of energy, ecology, fundamental and applied research in the field of Earth sciences, international cooperation, etc.
